We are one of the largest hillwalking clubs in Cork and Ireland. Most of our members are from all over Cork City and County. We have organised walks every weekend — open to members only.

Our Walk Grades

We use four grades to describe how challenging a walk will be. New members should start with C or D walks and work up.

A
Strenuous

Strenuous walk, sometimes with scrambling over steep exposed rocks, on open moorland at a fast pace for up to 10 hours.

B
Tough

Tough walk, sometimes with scrambling over steep ground, on open moorland at a good pace for up to 6 hours.

C
Moderate

Moderate walk on open moorland over less steep ground at a moderate pace for up to 4 hours.

D
Easy

Easy walk, mainly on relatively flat roads or paths, at an easy pace for up to 2 hours.
